What is Dimmable White LED Strip Light?
Dimmable White LED Strip, Adjustable Color Temperature LED Strip or CCT Variable LED Strip is a new lighting term we are hearing more and more. All of these terms refer to an LED strip that can be adjusted to emit a variable shade of white, typically in the range of 1800K to 6500K or 2700K to 6500K color temperature (CCT). It is typically a 24V adjustable white LED strip. Adjusting the shade of white or changing the color temperature is accomplished with a remote or wired adjustable white LED controller or DMX controller.
There are places where an LED strip is needed to be able to change the white temperature to meet a variety of lighting needs. For example, in a bedroom, the owner may want white light with a higher color temperature, such as 6500K, during the day to keep the energy up for activities, and a lower color temperature, such as 2700K, at night to allow for quicker sleep.
Higher-end restaurants may want to change the color temperature of their lighting with changing weather conditions outside to provide more comfortable lighting for their patrons. On sunny days, use 6500K cool white to give a modern lighting experience that matches the spirit; on cloudy days, use 3000K warm white to create a warm and cozy atmosphere.
What are the benefits of adjustable white LED strips?
1. Light affects the human non-visual system, including the circadian regulation of emotions. Bright light enhances the feeling of concentration. Blue light makes you feel calm and serene. Natural light makes you happier. Warm white light makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. Light can even affect your appetite.
Studies have found that light affects how much we eat, how fast we eat, what foods we eat, and even our sense of taste. Lighting is a pleasure with adjustable white LED strips. From a very warm white to a very bright white, the color temperature adjusts to the light of the day.
Tunable White LED Strips have been used for years in high-end restaurants, bars, salons, hotels and clubs to provide a better experience than ever before.
2. Scientific studies have shown that alertness is higher in bright light, leading to higher levels of concentration. Conversely, the brain tends to relax and be less alert under warm, shimmering red light, which reduces stress in the top space and is ideal for teamwork and creative projects. Teachers can determine the color temperature of the light based on the learning material to achieve optimal learning conditions.
Related research has found that it is recommended that workers use high color temperature and high brightness lighting in the morning and after lunch. By doing so, people at work are essentially “stimulated” to be more alert and focused, thus improving performance.
During lunchtime or at the end of the day, lighting CCT and brightness levels are reduced. Lunchtime is a time for relaxation and rejuvenation; at the end of the day, the body is rested so that melatonin begins to be produced on time.
Workplaces can also utilize conference room and classroom lighting. It is beneficial to use adjustable white LED strips to regulate different color temperatures in meeting rooms (i.e., to increase concentration, presentations, and brainstorming sessions).
3. Studies have shown that the correct choice of color temperature is beneficial to human health. Variable color temperature lighting affects sleep, mood, concentration, work and academic performance. Recent advances in color temperature adjustable LED technology have made it possible to use them not only for lighting purposes, but also to help improve the user's health.
In the bedroom example above, the homeowner needs different whites (color temperatures) at different times of the day. The human body needs to respond to its natural, lighted environment.
After thousands of years of living in the daily cycle of the sun, humans have developed corresponding biological rhythms called circadian rhythms. Circadian rhythms are responsible for the production of various hormones as well as alertness and body temperature levels.
The levels of all these things are constantly adjusted throughout the day according to an internal clock of approximately 24 hours; this clock sets the frequency of the circadian rhythm. Circadian rhythms use external information in the form of light to reset and verify when hormone production starts or stops.
Since the advent of the electric light, humans are no longer limited to the sun as their only source of light. Because of this, humans can now extend their workday longer or earlier than ever before.
However, this new form of light can also affect circadian rhythms. By receiving unexpected light at the wrong time, the body produces hormones at the wrong time, and alertness and body temperature levels may be thrown out of balance. This misalignment can lead to a variety of medical symptoms, including reduced sleep and depression.
We use color temperature adjustable led strips to replicate the color temperature light produced by the sun throughout the day. This means that the light doesn't have to be as strong in the morning and evening, becoming brighter at midday. In this way, we improve health by providing lighting that is close to natural and maintains our body's circadian rhythm.
