COB LED strips, or Chip-On-Board LED strips, are produced using a technology where low-power chips are directly encapsulated on the PCB board, resulting in faster heat dissipation. In contrast, traditional SMD LED strips are made by putting chips on a frame and converting them into SMD before mounting them on the PCB board. COB tape lights are more cost-effective and space-saving as they save costs and space on the PCB board.
